Appointment as King’s Counsel in 1998
In 2011 awarded certification as a hearings commissioner (chairperson) under the provisions of the Resource Management Act 1991 with top grade “excellent”.
In 2012 admitted as a Fellow (Arbitration) of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand Inc.
General
In 1995 appointed by the Solicitor-General of New Zealand to act as counsel to assist The Commission of Inquiry into the Collapse of a Viewing Platform at Cave Creek, near Punakaiki on the West Coast, involving a lengthy hearing and the presentation of a report to the House of Representatives
Formerly a member of the panel of prosecuting counsel appointed by the Serious Fraud Office circa 1998
